Singapore has no particular traditional food being a multi-racial country. We have mainly malay, chinese and indian food which adds up to our "normal" food. You can try things like "char kuay teow" or " friend carrot cake" (its not a dessert!) or "roti-prata" and quite a few other interesting and unhealthy yet satisfying dishes XD. |

yup. no particular traditional food in Singapore. careful what you eat as you might not like it. what i meant is that, don't base your choices by the looks of the food you would like to eat. i personally choose chinese foods, noodles and rice dishes are great too. |

Hie! Travel tips are good. They will really help for those who want to visit Singapore.
Just a few points:
- we don't really use 1cent coins that often. the rest are ok.
- Some of the best places to shop are at Orchard Road and Bugis, and not forgetting those shops along the way where you can get great bargains.
- We do have some clinics operating up to 11pm or 24hours, though normally they are found more in the residential area.
- Smoking is not only illegal in air-conditioned areas but it is also illegal in bus interchange, MRT stations and bus stops. For restaurants or eating places with outdoor seatings, there is usually an smoking area designated.
- If anyone is hungry late at night, we do have coffee shops and dining places that are operating 24hours. The fast food chain, McDonalds, has most of its stores operating 24hours n also does 24hrs delivery.
As for the qn by Anonymous on Singapore's traditional food. Well, we have a lot of traditional food as we have a mixture of different cultures living in Singapore, the 3 main races being Chinese, Malay n Indian. And each culture/race has its own unique traditional food.
Hope that this tips will help travellers coming to Singapore.
Cheers,
Mumu |

information provided almost covered everything though not very in depth.
and ditto to mumu's comment. We hardly use 1 cent coins anymore and about the designated smoking areas. Maybe you should mention Sentosa, Singapore's Island Resort, where visit the attractions available where you will be able to learn more about Singapore itself or you can relax by the beaches. |
