well, my favourite place in Serbia is definitely my hometown Novi Sad, with many places to see (Petrovaradin fortress, river danube, mountain Fruska Gora, city hall, cathedral, synagogue..).. Novi Sad is also hometown of one of the biggest music festivals in Europe - EXIT. there is also Belgrade, our capital city, and breath-taking landscapes all over the country. nature itself.. |

It is true, but I believe that apart from wonderful nature, the capital of Serbia - Belgrade can also offer you a plenty of night life and fun every night. This city never sleeps:)

OK, here's my tip for spendin' time in Serbia!
All our mountain resorts are wonderful an' believe me, it's true! Not just during winter season but through whole year period, Zlatibor mountain resort is beautiful. Kopaonik mountain resort is much more popular during the winter season an' has more ski paths. I'm sorry I can't say much more 'bout winter resorts in Serbia 'cause I ain't skiin'...
About festivals in Serbia...
Belgrade Beer festival is OK but don't forget one of the award winning festivals in Europe, the EXIT Fest, it's goin' on every year during first half of July an' is the most popular festival in this part of the world!
This is for now, hope I could help, at least a bit...
Cheers, Pako |

If you are going to Serbia, you must visit few places...
First of all-BELGRADE...It's a beautiful sity, with frendly peopels. If you are in Belgrade you must go on Kalemegdan fortress,Knez Mihailova street..Best tip is to ask someone on street where to go...:))
But if you are young,or just like to have fun,you must visit some clubs..Night life in Belgrade never ends...
One of the best things in Serbia is EXIT festival in Novi Sad,that is one of the best festival in Europe...
You must go to river Tara, for some adrenalin... |

Well, Kopaonik is most famous serbian mountain,. It' really beautiful, but it's not so cheap - it depends what are you looking for. Zlatibor and Tara are cheaper, but I can't say anything about them because I newer was there, but they say that their nature is beautiful.
Belgrade is biggest and major city, and it has very interesting night life. Novi Sad is also nice city to visit.
There are also many interesting festivals in Serbia, and most famous are Exit and Gucha. |

The highest peak in Serbia is Djeravica (dj=a sort of soft d). If you like good guitar sound, check out Gitariada - music festival with 42-year-long tradition held in Zajecar (Zayechar) every August! |

Well, there are many places to visit in Serbia, and the mountains are one of the most popular, as well as the rivers and lakes. Kopaonik,Zlatibor, and definitely Tara are at the top, where you can also do white water skiing if you like that, and you can also do this in Drina. Festivals are also a big part of the tourism, especially Beerfest and Exit, in Novi Sad. The places to visit are definitely Belgrade and Novi Sad, about a 100 km north. They both have an amazing nightlife!!If you like small cities you can find many nice ones, with lakes, like the Silver Lake in the east. Good luck in choosing one place 2 go!! |

I live in Serbia and i can say that i adore that country. It has something that i haven't seen in any other. That's the soul! People are kindly, friendly especially in towns... At the abroad i could see that people are always in some hurry, if they saw a man who lies on the street they would not even stop to see, even to help...i could never live in such ''mechanic'' world and that's the reason why i never could leave my Serbia. P.S. WE HAVE THE MOST BEAUTIFUL GIRLS!Believe me... :) |

I currently live in Pancevo, which is a small city near Belgrade. We have a Summer Carneval here, which happens every year and lasts for two days. It attracts crowds from all ages and has become a part of the city culture. If you're in town at that time, don't miss it. There are heaps of other festivals and events happening in summer time in almost every city, so be sure to have that in mind if you decide to visit us.
Unique to Europe for it's traditions and cultures, Serbia offers you a variety of different things, sure to satisfy everyone's taste. |
