| We are always looking for cheap hotel deals when we travel. Unfortunately, we also like to leave things open and flexible, so we don't often make reservations. This can be a mistake at times, as we learned on a recent trip to San Francisco. Now you might think this is naive, but it didn't occur to me that the Fourth of July was a big deal...
