Which area of Puerto Rico you are reffering to?
Because just like in any other country, Puerto Rico has safer areas and areas that you should be careful about, but normally puertorricans are very friendly with tourist. |

Yes, Puerto Rico is a safe place. Like any other country, Puerto Rico have their non secure areas, but you are not going to visit those areas, right? Puerto Rico have beautiful plances like the Natural Forest named El Yunque, located in Rio Grande. Some people says that they can observed OVNI's activities there. |

I lived in Puerto Rico for the past 13 years, before lived in New Jersey so I think I have more insight on its safety. Some people don’t realize that PR is part of the United States although not a full state, the laws are very similar to other states. Federal laws are the same.
Many time I feel safer here than in NJ or NY. The places that have a high percentage of crimes are the slums where drug users are high but this is only a small part of PR most of the island is completely safe especially for tourist. It’s just like traveling to NY. You can feel free to travel all over the island to all the tourist locations there are. |

In the Condado area in San Juan, you can find a place named Shanti Yoga. Is a center where you can learn yoga, meditations and taichi. They have massage service too. |

and yep is a safe area for the turist I never heard a notice that whe have a problem whit that ;)i live mi 21 years here and i no change my Puerto Rico for nothing i recommend you |

i'm from Puerto Rico and this country is really beautiful. the music,the culture,many tourist come to puerto rico in summer. because in summer,some places are open and they can preciate. but the island is perfect to a relax vacation with your family. viva Puerto Rico!!!!!!!!!!!! |

yes is a safe placed, but if you travel around the Iland should have somebody to show youu the beter palces. |

That is true I lived in P.R. and I love it... Is a great place to take a good vacatios and to be relaxed.. around the island the beaches are beautiful. And there exists a great variety of historical places as the "Morro"..... well is a Paradise, you most visit ! |

When you visit Puerto Rico is- in a way- like when you visit any other country. There is allways a good and a bad place. Puerto Rico is full of great people. I am sure that you'll enjoy your stay. Personally I enjoy helping our guests feel at home and I try to help them see and enjoy as mutch as they can from their visit.
