I was asked to add my comment, so: Poland TRULY is so beautiful country to visit (like other Slovian countries I think;D). I strongly recommend three cities: Kraków (on the South), Wroclaw (on the west- south) and Gdansk (on the north). |

- Praga District in Warsaw isn't a dangrous area now, it's a hippy part of the town inhibited by artists mainly. There are parts which better avoid, but in general Praga is ok.
- on the site there are not updated informations about the visa! European Union citizensdon't need a visa, for staying in Poland the ID is only requred. On Poland's boarer there's no document control, Poland is in Schengen since 2006 |

I just got asked to write a little about Poland and so I do. As u can read its good to visit the big cites like Krakow, but there are planty of small cities with fantastic buildings and views. It also depend what You like to see. I can't read any thing about places like MALBORK where u can find a great castle, one of the bigest in europe. German concentration camp in auschwitz( OSWIECIM), where you can learn a little about history. On the south of Poland you can find mountain ranges with planty of small and bigger beutifull cites (Zakopane, Szczawnica,Ustrzyki, Karpacz, and many others). I also reed that its possible to pay with credit card in bigger places, not true ,u can pay every where with a card, small shops, bars, coffie shops and so. Ofcourse u need to have some mony with u and please do not change it on the airports, better to finr an exchange center called KANTOR. tHATS ALL FOR NOW FOLKS, I hope that comment will help u a bit with your decidions, have a good time in Poland. |

Hello, In fact, here are some beautiful places in Poland as cities and towns. But If I could recommend something really special I would say: Look for some wild places out of the cities and other urbanized areas. Take a sack and go walking for a mountains, rent a canoe or boat and spend some time rowing, sailing through one of the rivers or some lake district. You would feel the marvelous atmosphere of being really close to the nature, as well the comfortably security of being not too far from civilization at the same time.
Moreover, In case of something unpredictable you will always assured with the sense of being close to the local people of great hearts, always grateful if they have opportunity to bring a selfless help to those of being in need.
See you then at the touristic track. |

hi. (im polish man and i live here) someone asked me about my opinion(regards to my friend. :) I agree with this article - everything is true.
Mrs "Olenka" (see above) have also right. I live in Krakow since 6 years and this is really nice place (like Paris in French). Generally in Poland the best time to visit is spring or summer because winter is gray in big cities. I love winter and autumn in our mountains especially close to Zakopane City (beautiful and unpredictable). Anyway in such place like: Kraków, Wroclaw, Gdansk, Warszawa (maybe :P) u can enjoy good fun in pubs or other places where are lots of famous monuments. I can't describe everything, you need to come and see it.
So WELCOME to Poland and feel the atmosphere here. You will love it ;) |
