Transport Tips for Venice
Submitted by Olivia on 2008-07-23 03:39:12 (via www.slowtrav.com)
In Venice, cars are banned -- every form of transportation floats, from water taxis and vaporetti (the public "bus" ferries) to ambulance speedboats and garbage scows. Here you will find a few tips about transportation in Venice!

Ciao!
I think it's perfect. In general about tourism in Venice, please suggest to your friends/clients/whoever NOT to get caught in classical San marco to Railto easy walk that leads you to shops and shops (half of which, since a while, are chinese....nothing bad, it's just not venetian) and PLEASE go take a day to visit beautiful Cannaregio (everybody does ugly Strada Nova and totally ignores that just ONE street on the left on the parallel side, you have one of the most beautiful itinerary of town) or Castello, taking your walk from San marco and leaving the crowd on your back and the water on your right until the crowd disappears.
