It depends from where do you come from? If you used to New York well the Rome is terrible. We don't have in Rome a great subway system (just 2 lines). Probably the best thing for you is to buy an "hopoff and hopon" ticket and enjoy the city like this, This is what I would do if I was a tourist in Rome. If you are getting a taxi from the airports, they have a fix price of 40,00 Euros if your hotel is in the city walls and the luggage is free so if they ask for more require a receipt with the name of the taxi and call a police man. Have fun!

I'm not sure but I think its not more than 14,00 Euros per person and its a ticket for a double deck bus that have different iteneraries in Rome and you are able to jump off and on all the times you want.

Try at restaurant "I Pontefici" its in Via Gregorio VII 57. Its a family restaurant very simple but with great food, his mom is in the kitchen and her two sons are the waiters.

For pizza try "Gusto" located in Piazza Augusto Imperatore.

Ciao
