I might visit Ethiopia for next year!!!! What is the best time for visiting this amazing country? And is there interesting historical places to visit??? Any answers are welcome!!!!

Ethiopia is an amazing country with 13 months of sunshine. A guest can visit the country at any time he/she plan to do so. Ethiopia is the country for people with different ethnicity, culture and religion. Visitor may attain in cultural and religious practices and visit the historical and ancient place in northern Ethiopia, different parks in central and southern Ethiopia, Bale, Afar, Harer (a 1000 years old city) and Dire Dawa (beautiful people with very sociable character. |

Ethiopia is a land of contrasts and extremes. Some of the highest and most stunning places on the African continent are found here, such as the jaggedly carved Simien Mountains, one of UNESCO's World Heritage Sites - and some of the lowest, such as the hot but fascinating Danakil Depression.
The ceremonies and rituals of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church, open a window on the authentic world of the Old Testament.
Ethiopia has culture and traditions dating back over 3000 years. With over 80 different Ethnic groups with their own language, culture and traditions.
Orthodox Church ceremonies are a major feature of Ethiopian life. The events are impressive and unique. Islamic tradition is also strong and offers colorful contrast, particularly in the eastern and south-eastern parts of the country.
The main natural attractions in Ethiopia are Abijatta-Shalla Lakes National Park, Awash National Park, Bale Mountains National Park, Dallol Depression, Gambella National Park, Blue Nile Falls (Tisisat) and Lake Tana.
Historical attractions include Axum, Debre Damo, Gondar, Harar, Lalibela.
The weather in Addis Ababa can usually be very chilly especially at night.
Ethiopians mostly call a person from the white race as 'Ferenj'. So, don't be surprised if you hear that word once too often.
It is always better to get visas from one's country of residence where there is an Ethiopian embassy. Visa regulations may change any time. Nothing is carved in stones.
Foreign currency can only be changed in commercial banks (government or private) and it's illegal to change anywhere else.
There are a number of internet cafes in the capital Addis Ababa and a number of other cities. However, one should be aware before hand that the speed is too slow and quite frustrating. So, be ready and don't get disappointed.
The personal ideal time for a visit is from September to May. The months fro June to August are rain seasons. the beautiful falls of the blue Nile are best viewed after the rain season.
