| Bahrain is sometimes described as the "Middle East lite" because it combines modern infrastructure with a Gulf identity and, unlike other countries in the region, its prosperity is not solely a reflection of the size of its oil wealth, but is also related to the creation of an indigenous middle class.

Salaams (Peace),
There are several places to visit:-
1) Within Manama - Museum, Grand Mosque,
Bab Al Bahrain (Door of Bahrain) and the
Suq (presently under renovation).
2) Outside Manama - Bahrain (originally Portughese) Fort, Barber Temple (needs
renovation. Jasra village (Handicrafts of
Bahrain), Shaikh Isa house (the home where
the King's father (previous ruler) was born,
Al A'ali Pottery in A'ali village, Bapco
Oil Museum (first oil discovered in the Gulf), Tree of Life, Bahrain International Circuit (F1 course), Al Areen Wildlife Reserve, Shaikh Ali home in Muharraq, Arad Fort in Muharraq.
3) You can take boat rides to Hawar island
and see the Gazelles and the Oryx and the
Osprey. There are different islands which
offer the best beaches - Al Dar island and
the more famous Jarada island (high tide it
is submerged). Check from the Marina clubs
about the islands.
Hope I have been of assistance. Have a great
vacation in our tiny, friendly island of the
Gulf.
Farhan :) |

The city’s major attraction is the National Museum, a modern building with excellent exhibits well-marked in both Arabic and English. The museum covers 7000 years of Bahrain’s history, including its many grave mounds and temples; its Dilmun, Tylos and Islamic periods; and Arabic writing and calligraphy. The Ad-Diraz Temple is a small second millennium Dilmun site. Its centrepiece is the stone base of what was probably an altar, surrounded by the bases of many columns. The site is about 5km (3mi) west of Manama and accessible by bus. Barbar is a complex of three 2nd and 3rd millennium BC temples, probably dedicated to Enki, the God of Wisdom and the Sweet Waters under the Earth...and many more attractive place.. |

Bahrain is a popular tourist destination with over eight million tourists a year. Most of the visitors are from the surrounding Arab states but there is an increasing number of tourists from outside the region due to a growing awareness of the kingdom’s heritage and its higher profile with regards to the Bahrain International F1 Ciruit. The Lonely Planet describes Bahrain as "an excellent introduction to the Persian Gulf",[82] because of its authentic Arab heritage and reputation as relatively liberal and modern |

there are loads of malls for shopping, and highrise buildings with malls(like bahrain world trading center has a mall called moda mall, and bahrain financial harbor has a mall too)
There are many New updates should be added to that article, for once the telecomunicaton companies now are more than one in bahrain, we have baltelco, zain, and etisalcom
